SIU Economics Forum #1 was held on 3rd November 2010. The guest lecturer is Thanee Chaiwat, SIU advisor and lecturer for Faculty of Economics, Chulalongkorn University.
Thanee, who currently is a PhD candidate on Political Economy at the University of Bologna, lectured two of his study subjects: Mafia and Economic Development: Lesson from Italy and Some Interesting Topics in African Development. The video will be published shortly on SIU web site.

Isriya Paireepairit, SIU’s ICT consultant, participated in The Telecommunications Consumer Institute (TCI) seminar on the price structure of mobile tariffs in Thailand.

4 August 2010 – Isriya Paireepairit, SIU’s ICT consultant, participated in The Telecommunications Consumer Institute (TCI) seminar on the price structure of mobile tariffs in Thailand.

The seminar took place at The Office of National Telecommunications Commission. The panelists include Dr. Somkiat Tangkitvanich from TDRI, Dr. Pracha Koonnathamdee from Thammasat University and the Director of TCI.

The seminar receives some coverage from Thai media e.g. Post Today.
